Compost Giveaway at the Big A

Spring is almost here, which means it's time for Anaheim's annual compost giveaway at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

On Saturday, March 7, Anaheim residents can pick up free compost for gardens, landscaping, potted plants and other yard projects.

The giveaway is from 7-10 a.m. or until the compost runs out.

The event takes place in the stadium parking lot near the Big A, where Anaheim residents can receive up to 60 gallons of fresh compost. Compost is a natural fertilizer that improves soil health and helps our plants and gardens thrive.

  • When: Saturday, March 7
  • Time: 7-10 a.m., or until we run out
  • Where: Angel Stadium of Anaheim, parking lot near Big A
  • Getting there: enter from Douglass Road off Katella Avenue, near ARTIC; no access from Orangewood Avenue or State College Boulevard
  • You'll need: proof of Anaheim residency, driver's license or utility bill
  • Containers: bring sturdy containers or buckets, no bags allowed
  • Compost bins: available for $35, cash or check only

Are you homebuying-ready but need a little help with the down payment for your first home?
