Two of the most beloved stars in Latin entertainment, the legendary film, television and music icon Angélica María and her daughter, actress and comedian Angélica Vale, have joined forces as co-hosts of Las Angélicas, a new weekly podcast produced by Pitaya Entertainment. The series takes fans into their living room for intimate, revealing and delightfully charming conversations between mother and daughter.
Each episode moves between the present and the past. With humor and no filter, mother and daughter take on modern life, from raising kids in the age of smartphones to tipping culture. They also turn back the clock for a priceless look at Angélica María's life like never before: her extraordinary career, the stars she met along the way, and the lessons she learned as an icon and as a mother. Episode by episode, she opens up the way only a mother can with her daughter, sharing stories she has never told before.
Known for generations as "La Novia de México," Angélica María has captivated audiences for more than seven decades on the big screen, on television and on stage. Her daughter grew up in that spotlight, appearing on television for the first time at just two months old, and became a star in her own right, earning international fame as the lead of La Fea Más Bella, one of the most popular telenovelas in Mexican television history. Each commands a devoted following of her own. Together, they share a chemistry no script could write: quick wit, deep affection, and the kind of teasing only a mother and daughter can get away with.
The first two episodes of Las Angélicas are now available on YouTube and all major podcast streaming apps, such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts. New episodes are released on Thursdays.
