The members of GTAR donated $2,000 in just under 1 week. GTAR and MLS Tech both contributed $1,000, bringing our total to $4,000. With these funds we were able to adopt 30 Angels from the Tulsa Salvation Army Angel Tree!
We were able to fulfill the “needs” and “wishes” for each child we adopted! GTAR’s Member Engagement Director, Tiffany Villines, and Affiliate member, Shelley Carson, spent over 7 hours at Walmart handpicking each clothing item and toy for every child. They rolled out of the store with a convoy of 5 shopping carts filled to the brim, and with a lot of strategic planning they were able to fit everything in 1 car!
The angel tree donations will be dropped off on Friday, December 10th so that The Salvation Army can prepare them for Christmas morning! Thank you for helping us make this such a huge success and ensuring these kids have an amazing holiday!

Going Inactive?
If you are planning on going inactive and you have keyboxes (leased) in your name, you are required to return them to the GTAR / MLS Tech office within 10 days of being released. Note: They cannot have any permanent markings (paint, etc) on them.

Keybox Leases
If you leased keyboxes starting Nov 2017, your lease will end April 2022 and recurring charges will be removed beginning May 2022. If you need a master list of keybox lease dates please reach out to Rachel@tulsarealtor.com

Omicron Variant Threatens More Disruption in Real Estate
The latest COVID-19 variant—omicron—has spawned new health and economic concerns, and it could have an impact on the residential and commercial market. News outlets reported on Wednesday that a case involving the omicron variant was identified in San Francisco. There has also been a reported case in Minnesota.

Glass is joining the list of building materials in short supply. A range of industries, including shower door manufacturers and window installers, are reporting glass shortages.
Nearly two-thirds of home builders said that windows are their biggest material shortage, according to a recent survey from John Burns Real Estate Consulting. City Council approves rezoning request for south Tulsa recording studio

The City Council unanimously approved a rezoning request Wednesday night that clears the way for the construction of a recording studio on the northeast corner of 81st Street and Harvard Avenue. Oklahoma Studios LLC plans to build the approximately 50,000-square-foot structure on two undeveloped lots totaling 6.28 acres.
