Anheuser-Busch to Sink $1 Billion into Growing Seltzer Category
Anheuser-Busch said Wednesday it plans to invest over $1 billion to grow its hard seltzer business over the next two years. Much of the investment will go to production capacity for its seltzer brands including Bud Light Seltzer and the new Michelob Ultra Seltzer.
'We need to build more seltzer capacity so we can attend the demand from consumers, which is a growing demand," says Anheuser-Busch Chief Executive Officer Michel Doukeris.
