Blessing of the Animals
Saturday/Sunday, October 5/6, 5 p.m. & 10:15 a.m.
In celebration of St. Francis of Assisi and his love for all creatures, St. Bart's will celebrate Blessing of the Animals worship services Saturday, October 5 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 6 at 10:15 a.m. Bring your beloved pets (cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish, etc.-all are welcome) and join in this joyous worship and blessing. Remember that animals must be properly restrained at all times (cage, leash, etc.). You are welcome to bring a photo of your pet also. The Sunday 8 a.m. service is animal-free.

If you have lost a pet, we invite you to bring a picture or other memento to place on the altar or attend the Memorial service on Saturday afternoon.
Memorial for Lost Animal Companions
Saturday, October 5, 1 p.m., Chapel
On this weekend when we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, many who have lost a beloved companion animal may feel more comfortable remembering their pet at a special service. We invite you to bring a picture or other memento to place on the altar as we give thanks for the blessing that God's creatures have been in our lives.
Choral Evensong
Sunday, October 6, 4 p.m.
Join us for our first Choral Evensong service of the program year! We will be collaborating with Dr. Ruben Valenzuela and the Choir of All Souls’ Episcopal Church in Point Loma for the service. Come for an evening of beautiful music and liturgy as we ‘kick-off’ the 2019-20 music season! There will be a reception following the service on the patio.
Sponsor an Evensong
Do you have a passion for hosting? This year, the Music Ministry is looking for individuals or groups to ‘sponsor’ our monthly Evensong services, by providing food and drinks at the receptions afterward. It has been a St. Bart’s tradition to have light refreshments on the patio following major music events, and it is a wonderful way to engage visitors in community together. In the past, the responsibility has been on the singers and instrumentalists to provide the refreshments at these events, so to have external individuals take ownership would be a great way to show our appreciation for their musical offerings. If you feel like you may be interested in putting together a team for one of these dates, or doing it solo, please contact John-Luke Addison .
