We’re All Crazy Busy!
Read How We Can Help Our Shared Clients.
COVID has caused all of our schedules to take on a life of their own. We know you’re busy because we’re busier than ever. And while we appreciate the opportunity to care for so many pets and their families, like you, we are challenged to do it all.

To help you help your clients get care for their pets at Animal Emergency Hospital of Volusia, please let them know that we are here 24/7 and will remain so, to care for any animal experiencing an emergency or who needs advanced diagnostics or hospitalization. Naturally, we triage patients upon arrival. For those cases that are not life threatening or critical in nature, and therefore take more time to be seen, we still want those families to come away feeling good about their experience at AEHV .

That requires we work together to inform everyone of expected wait times and our COVID protocols.

To help expedite the process, all patient intake forms can be found online and completed prior to arrival. Please assure your clients that we are working as quickly as possible and aim to give all pets and their families the time and attention they deserve when seeking care from us. Thank you.

MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WEBSITE
We’ve recently added a Services section to our website which will give you a more comprehensive understanding of our expertise, technologies, and offerings. It’s broken down into five sections:

In the Veterinarians section of our website, we’ve also added a page for our Newsletter. Please feel free to share this with your colleagues so they can sign up to receive them as well. Beginning with our announcement about the groundbreaking for our DeLand facility last month, you’ll be able to keep up with our progress and other relevant news.
Welcome, Dr. Carver!
Lastly, we would like to introduce you to our newest addition, Alyssa Carver, DVM, MS, CCRP. As a former classmate of Dr. Westbury’s, we are thrilled to have Dr. Carver join our team.
After completing her veterinary degree at St. Georges University in Grenada, Dr. Carver took a position in western Pennsylvania close to where she grew up, where she’s been practicing for the last two years. With a little coaxing from Dr. Westbury, and the promise of year-round sunshine (plus a few hurricanes), the decision to take the plunge and become a Floridian was not that difficult.

Dr. Carver is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, Fear-Free Certified, and USDA Accredited.

Outside of work, she loves the outdoors, enjoys boating, hanging out with friends, and working out. Her current family consists of two cats that she adopted from Grenada named Tuko and KeeKee. We hope you’ll be able to meet Dr. Carver in person in the not too distant future.
