We're so overwhelmed by our community's incredible generosity and support for the animals at Kitsap Humane Society!
Animal lovers, you really showed you care by making a whopping 540 gifts totaling $92,060 to KHS during the Kitsap Great Give. Thank you for your compassion for animals and confidence in our livesaving work!
We also want to thank our amazing friends at
Haselwood Auto Group
for being our Grand Shelter Sponsor for 2018, and for their
generous $25,000 Great Give matching gift
which inspired many supporters to donate on behalf of animals in our care.
Haselwood Auto Group also made Kitsap Humane Society the recipient of its "Drive for a Cause" promotion in April, donating $20 for every car sold and $5 for every car serviced.
PLUS, they hosted an awesome adoption event at
West Hills Auto Plex
on Sat., April 28, with throngs of families attending and 21 puppies and kittens adopted into loving homes!

Are you a golfer? (Or would you like to be?) It’s not too late to register for this fun day on the fairway! AND, you can bring your dog!
FORE! The Animals is Fri., May 18, 2018, on the beautiful greens at
Trophy Lake Golf & Casting
. This four-person, scramble format is casual, fun and best of all, the proceeds benefit animals in need. We hope to see you at our tournament, playing golf and helping shelter pets!

Pints for Pets: Here's a Toast to our Pup Crawlers

You came. You drank. You gave. And together, we saved lives!
We just completed our first-ever, month-long Pints for Pets Pup Crawl and are AMAZED at the results! Over 100 people participated, hitting six Pints for Pets partners, and together we raised over $5,400 to help support our lifesaving work!

Meet Sweet Edgar

This handsome man is Edgar! Doesn’t he have the sweetest face?
Edgar is currently living the sweet life in a foster home, where he enjoys getting lots of pets, snuggles, and yummy wet food.
He absolutely loves brushing and will purr and make biscuits with his paws when he is content.
Edgar is looking for a home where he can get all the love and attention he deserves

Foster Spotlight
Meet Leah!
|
|
This month’s Foster Spotlight is on Leah! Leah is a rising star in the foster department who immediately offered to help with a foster dog who had lots of challenges.
Leah welcomed into her home a sweet boy named Duke, who was stressed and declining in his kennel, giving him TLC in a comforting environment while he waits for his forever home.
Leah spends a lot of time with Duke, showing him that he's loved and safe. As a foster parent, Leah is providing KHS with the invaluable service of providing a better place for a dog in need, while opening up a space in the shelter for other dogs.
Her favorite part of being Duke's foster mom is “showing him he is loved, seeing him trust again, and helping my community!”
Leah also enjoys picking up shifts as a dog walker, hiking, surfing, volunteering with other nonprofits, and supporting local small businesses. Thanks for all you do, Leah!
