Greetings,
 Every time I walk through the door after a long trip and look at all of my animals that are so happy to see me, I feel I have a standing date with gratitude! My heart is full. This is a season of taking stock of how much joy and gratitude our animals bring us.
Here in the states, many of us celebrated Thanksgiving, a special time to give thanks. For me, it has been a year filled with many great clients and many great classes around the country. I have lots to be thankful for. Including, my own great animal companions that amaze and amuse me on a daily basis.
I have one more class this Saturday in New York City at the Open Center! Join me!
I would love to share a letter that a woman, Parker Lovell of North Carolina shared with the boarders of her facility to set up communication session with their horses while I was visiting. Parker owns one of the biggest Saddle Seat facilities in the country. The beauty is, one phone session between Parker, her daughter, me and her horse, Bebe led to this amazing life altering journey - here is the story.
 I would also like to add, Parker is an extraordinary person. She and her daughter are probably just landing from a week in Ghana, West Africa. Knowing how privileged most US kids are, especially kids at her daughter's school and their facility - Cash Lovell Stables and Riding Academy, they have organized a bridge with a school in Ghana. Just last year, they helped bring water in to the village. This year, they are hoping to create a library with computers.
I share this as a beautiful illustration of what passionate animal people can do as a group - there is great footage of the young girls at her facility raising money. You can still donate in the next few days! Imagine if more barns of fortunate children donated time and passion to children around the globe.

This next year I will be adding different types of classes, in particular, an EFT for Animals and their Humans. I have a wonderful story at the bottom of this newsletter about EFT and a grieving horse. EFT is an energetic modality that helps to mitigate super charged emotions or release blocks stored in the body of unresolved pain. It calms the nervous system down and we can make better decisions or experience peace. I have been using it for 10 years with people and animals and after the first of the year, I will announce some classes!
Here is a free class I did called Rescue is not a Breed! You can download now and see what EFT is all about! Using EFT on something like the subject of rescue is helpful because we can get charged up about rescue in general; we feel awful for the animals, we blame people that would leave their animals behind and/or we have a challenge with our "rescue" animals at home. This 3 part class can help. And, you can get a taste of what EFT is like. Please feel free to share this link!
As we careen toward the New Year, use your inner guidance to see if you are being called to work with animals'. Or, perhaps this is a time for your soul's journey to embark upon an education with animals. Some of you are driven by a deep compassion for animals and their welfare, others have always wanted to work with animals and haven't found the "how" yet. If the dream of animal communication, deepening your intuition or even exploring healing animals with energy techniques is calling you, run don't walk to set up a time to strategize with me how this could look.

I experienced a healing within myself and witnessed my sister take a different strategy with an immune disease back in the early 1990's after our swim with the Dolphins. It is transformative and enlightening to feel that little moment of connection. On this trip we will experience those playful, soulful, magical moments with our Dolphin friends and expand those moments through time and/or consciousness.

Fancy's Grief
June 2013 delivered another juicy dolphin trip in the Bahamas while facilitating another trip with Dolphin Expeditions. Every year, I think to myself, last year was so over the top great; I can't out do it, so I will simply go to facilitate other people's joy with dolphins. I go with zero expectations. And, then, the dolphin universe provides me with an experience that there are no words for. The experiences feel as though they are building upon each other. This year, I had that same, upgraded dolphin experiences!I have talked to many of Barbara's horses. She had a new horse that I had never met before. From the moment I walked into the barn to meet the horse that I was to communicate with the other morning, I noticed the likeness to my horse, Gabrielle. But only in looks. This little horse, Fancy, seemed sweet, and yet had a melancholy sensibility to her. I was there to unlock whatever was going on with her, so I proceeded with the communication.
 Within a few minutes of telepathy, Fancy told me that she had "Rock Star" babies. She then started bearing her teeth and pinning her ears at me in full protection mode as if I were threatening her. I thought it was peculiar. The owner, Barbara noticed and commented on how bizarre it is and even said "she's so sweet, I've never seen her do anything like this." I moved on with the communication, but Fancy wanted to continue protecting herself physically from me.
When I relayed the information from Fancy to Barbara, Fancy really started swishing her tail and swinging her butt around in anticipation of a fight. On the one hand it was truly telepathy in motion - which was cool from the perspective that only a thought was creating the reaction. Yet, it was curious that a thought was this powerful.
Barbara told me that Fancy had given birth to a dead foal and was immediately bred again. That second foal lived with her, side by side for 8 years and was recently sold. One day, after 8 years solid, he was simply gone.
In order for Fancy to survive and thrive in her new environment with Barbara and the other horses, she had to live in a semi shutdown state. Acting sweet was a survival mechanism. Her heart couldn't take another change.
When I realized that I had hit upon trapped grief, I thought EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique would really help. EFT is a technique that involves tapping on the meridians to release blocked emotions. EFT is a technique of tapping on the meridians and releasing blocked and/or charged emotions that are trapped in our mind/body.
It is a modality I have been using for 10 years on myself and some clients - the humans.....more and more I am using it directly on animals and the results have been stunning.
Barbara was called away into the arena and I was left there with Fancy. She was still keeping me away and not wanting me even in her space. I am very aware of horses (dogs and cats) having an emotional reaction and am very careful not to get hurt. I understand her need to be mad at me. I have no problem with that. When Barbara didn't come back right away, I decided to tap on Fancy without her.
I stood next to her shoulder to be out of striking range of her front feet, and certainly clear from her quickly swinging hind end. Because she was tied on either side of her halter, I knew she couldn't bite me. And, I started tapping. I kept my tapping script simple (the script being what I say to illicit the emotion we are hoping to release). I focused on the loss and the grief. And, how out of control life must seem........
Within minutes she was yawning and releasing and seemed much calmer. I tempted fate a bit and stepped away from her shoulder and she was very peaceful and sweet. Barbara came around the corner and couldn't believe her eyes. It was a seemingly spontaneous healing within minutes. The rest of my time with this lovely horse was very quiet. It was wonderful to see how willing she was to release this.
A couple of days later, I heard from Barbara - she let me know that Fancy is "way more at ease and her huge release of anger and grief is very apparent in her behavior and the energy everyone feels from her. Thank you for coming out and sharing your wonderful gift with us."
