Animal Inspection, Animal Control, and Local Public Health: Who Responds to Nuisance Complaints?


The Franklin-Hampshire Training Hub and WMPHA are partnering with the MA Department of Agriculture to bring you a one-hour virtual training on nuisances, specifically related to farming, on Wednesday, August 5 from 2-3 PM.

Animal Hoarding: Discussion of Safety and Behavior


The Central Mass Training Hub is hosting a presentation, "Animal Hoarding: Discussion of Safety and Behavior" to provide an overview of hoarding disorder (HD) with a thorough overview of animal hoarding behavior. Presenter Eileen Dacey will describe the onset, course, and prevalence of both possession and animal hoarding behavior. Also covered will be animal hoarding and the variables that maintain this complex behavioral health issue and why appropriate case identification should match your intervention. Lastly, Ms. Dacey will describe stakeholder involvement and how to build a client-centered, multidisciplinary response. The workshop is on August 12 from 10 am to 12 pm.
