Merrie Aragon reflects on the positive transformation she experienced this semester at AHS in her 9th grade TPOL |
Greetings Osprey Community,
We appreciate the hard work our students put into their TPOLs this week, sharing their thoughtful reflections through polished presentations. This is a unique way to end the year, and we hope the experience proved to be valuable for all. There were certainly plenty of breakthrough moments, with much to celebrate in terms of student growth and learning.
Next week, Carlin Neilson, who chairs our Inclusion Department, will be on campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 to noon supporting students participating in AHS Summer School; meanwhile, Jess Adams, our College Counselor, will be with members of the Class of 2019 at Fort Lewis College Wednesday through Friday for our Rising Senior College Camp. Teachers head off on a variety of summer adventures in the next two months, but will check email occasionally through the summer. If you have questions or need assistance with anything over the summer, please reach out to Sean at sean.woytek@animashighschool.com or Libby at libby.cowles@animashighschool.com.
Final grades will be posted in Infinite Campus (IC) by Monday; please login to view grades as we do not send out report cards. While you are in IC, please check to see if you have any outstanding fees and pay them as soon as possible through IC or via check made out to "Animas High School" and mailed to us at PO Box 4414, Durango CO 81302.

We are extraordinarily grateful for the support you have each given to Animas High School this year in your own way, whether it was volunteering to chaperone a field trip, making a financial contribution, serving as a mentor for a LINK internship, contributing food for a school community event, being a guest speaker in a class, giving valuable feedback, asking probing questions at exhibitions--or simply entrusting us with the honor of providing your child with a rigorous, supportive, innovative secondary education. We would not be the school we are, recognized as one of the top ten charter schools in Colorado by our authorizer, the Colorado Charter School Institute, without the support of our generous, strong community. Thank you, truly.
We hope you all have an excellent summer and we look forward to seeing you back at the Nest in August! |
