CRUNCHYMATION OOP's
I just want to remind everyone that we are seeing a lot of Crunchymation's back catalog of former Funimation titles fall out of print as stock of those titles finally sells out. They have said that these titles will eventually be repressed, just with new labeling to reflect current CR branding, but I'm not so sure.
If you are in the market for some of the older Funimation releases, pay special attention to their older Classics and Essentials releases, and anything printed on DVD or as DVD/BD combo pack as these seem to be the ones that are not being repressed. We're also seeing them print smaller runs of Limited Editions, so expect the window of opportunity of these releases to get smaller going forward. Right now there are rumors that the upcoming Cowboy Bebop 25th Anniversary Limited Edition BLURAY may be oversold in pre-order and have to be allocated to retailers, similar to what happened with the Yu Yu Hakusho 30th Anniversary Box Set. We won't know for sure until later in March, so make sure to pre-order that set to have the best chance of getting one if they end up being short pressed.

NEW LICENSES
VIZ Media's new Fall 2023 licenses lean heavily on their popular series, with spinoffs, guidebooks, and other secondary titles, and they also have some new series by proven creators. Here’s a look at what they are workin with:

VIZ also announced more tie-ins and spinoffs, including Jujutsu Kaisen: The Official Guide Anime Season 1, a Fullmetal Alchemist 20th anniversary book, a Naruto Shippuden coloring book, and My Hero Academia: The Official Easy Illustration Guide, which explains how to draw the characters in the popular superhero series.
GKIDS announced on Wednesday that it has licensed the filmed performances of Spirited Away: Live on Stage, the stage play adaptation of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away anime film, and will screen them in North America beginning this spring.
Seven Seas announced that it has licensed the 365 Days to the Wedding and Anyhow, the Rabbit Is Infatuated with the Puppy manga, as well as the manga and light novels for Modern Dungeon Capture Starting with Broken Skills and Summer Ghost. Seven Seas will release the first volume of Tamiki Wakaki's 365 Days to the Wedding (Kekkon Surutte, Hontō Desu ka?: 365 Days to the Wedding) manga in November.
IN THE NEWS
The official Twitter account for Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga revealed on Friday that the manga has over 85 million copies in circulation worldwide. The manga topped 65 million copies in circulation worldwide in January 2022.
Crunchyroll announced that it is "hitting pause" on this year's Crunchyroll Expo event. The company stated that it is deciding to "focus on attending a growing roster of expos and festivals around the world." This year's Crunchyroll Expo was scheduled for August 4-6 in San Jose, California. Crunchyroll did not reveal when, or if, the event will return.
'Hitting pause' being CR's euphemism for 'canceled'. The attendance numbers for the event last year were pretty terrible.
Tokyopop is launching a new imprint, Comics That Matter, with the publication of the story of a man who risked his life to take care of animals that were left behind after the March 2011 meltdown at the Fukishima Daiichi nuclear plant.
IndieWire reported on Thursday that Netflix has launched its new password-sharing policy in test markets Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru. Netflix had shared the policy on its United States FAQ page before removing it and attributing it to an error.
