The intial pressing of Funimation's
Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory DVD/BD Combo Set (Limited Edition) seems to have been, for once, actually 'limited' and ended up being allocated to retailers. That means none of us got the amount we ordered. After much effort we finally obtained enough copies to fill all remaining pre-orders, and those sets are going out today. Since we were not able to ship everyone's pre-order all at once we had a few people get antsy and cancel their pre-orders, so we have a handful of units now available for sale (and I was able to get one too!) and unless Funi decides to press more,
these may be the last ones we will be able to obtain.
Discotek Media announced that it has licensed The Twelve Kingdoms and Nagasarete Airantou anime for Blu-ray Disc, and will also release the Sonic X anime on Blu-ray Disc. All three Blu-ray Disc sets are slated for May 28. The Twelve Kingdoms release will have all 45 episodes in 1080p, and will have Japanese audio with English subtitles, as well as the English dub.
We'll have those up for pre-order soon. :-)
Funimation and Chinese streaming platform bilibili jointly announced a new partnership to acquire anime licenses during AnimeJapan 2019 on Saturday. The new partnership will see both companies jointly acquiring licenses "over the next few years," and will include IP rights for broadcast television, video-on-demand, electronic sell-through, home entertainment, gaming, and merchandise in the United States and China.
According to the general manager of Google Stadia, Phil Harrison, porn games or AO rated titles for adults won't be on the Stadia. PCGamesN paraphrased some of Phil Harrison's comments, explaining...
"Harrison says that Google will use 'what I would loosely describe as 'standard industry practice'' when deciding which games will be provided through the streaming service. The company will make use of PEGI and ESRB ratings systems, and Harrison says that 'we won't allow adult only content on our platform."
'Loosely' is a good tern there. He goes on to say that Stadia 'will have content guidelines that we will apply to games,' and that Google 'will work with developers and publishers to bring appropriate games to the platform.' What this means is that any of the games rated or labeled as Adults Only on Steam or by the ESRB, will not appear on Stadia. This also means said games will not be accessible through Stadia's stream-play feature either.
The official website for the new television anime of Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket manga revealed on Wednesday that M.A.O will play Motoko Minagawa. The previously announced new cast includes:

The new anime will have an entirely new Japanese cast and staff, as per Takaya's request, and will cover the entire manga's story.
Sentai Filmworks announced on Wednesday that it has licensed "two special episodes" for the Pop Team Epic anime series. The company will stream the specials on HIDIVE this spring.

13 is really young to have to take care of yourself, but when her grandmother dies, Kana Nakamachi unexpectedly finds herself out on the street looking for a new place to live. Fortunately, luck takes her to a local newspaper office that needs a new delivery girl and the pay includes room and board!
Of course, there are a few problems at first: besides being underage, Kana doesn't even know how to ride a bike! So, it's a good thing that her new co-workers are willing to help her out, even if most of them are more than a little eccentric. Following his brave deeds in the Russo-Japanese war, veteran Sugimoto hardly bats an eye at the harsh wilderness of Hokkaido. But when he stumbles across part of a treasure map, things get deadly.
