Store News and Tab Clearing
Funimation let us know this week that the Texhnolyze Complete Series DVD Anime Classics set is now out of print and no longer available for order. Somewhere between then and now we promptly sold out of the sets, and have now removed them from our catalog.
NEW LICENSES
Tokyopop announced on Monday that it has licensed Dr. Pepperco, Craft Egg, and Bushiroad's BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Roselia Stage manga and Ichika Kino's Ossan Idol?! manga for release in North America this year.
Sentai Filmworks announced that it has licensed After the Rain, the television anime adaptation of Jun Mayuzuki's Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (Love is Like After the Rain) manga, for home video and digital release.
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Since the coronavirus situation is the talk of the town just about everywhere at the moment, I though I would only point out a couple things, one possibly helpful and the other funny.
First, the most effective and easiest thing you can do to prevent to spread of any virus is to wash your hands. Do it and do it often, and do it correctly. Hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial soaps are getting bought up in many area's, but these aern't the best things to wash your hands with anyway. Around the office here we wash our hands with
Hybiclens , but use of any 4% chlorhexidine solution hand soap is a great way to help prevent the spread of colds and/or flu or other viruses. Remember that when you wash your hands you need to lather for 3 or 4 minutes to actually kill pathagens. Lathering and rinsing with water for 30 seconds doesn't cut it.
Also, the EPA has started to update a list of cleaning products that they recommend works against coronavirus.That list can
be found here.
And finally, a police dept in Florida is taking the coronavirus very seriously. The Atlantic Beach Police Department
posted a PSA on their Facebook page last week. The tongue-in-cheek post issues a warning that if you recently bought cocaine, meth, heroin, or any other street drugs in their area, it may be contaminated with coronavirus.
The police department goes on to urge those to bring their drugs to the police department for free testing. If you're uncomfortable going to the police department, police say they will come to you - in the privacy of your own home!
