Just a heads up to all RACS customers that as of today we are entering a temporary limited ordering period for retailer re-orders of Funimation's entire catalog while their master distributor moves their warehousing and fulfillment operations. This means that as of today we can no longer order restocks on Funimation titles and all retailer fulfillment will be suspended after March 15th once all the March new releases are shipped to retailers. This applies to every retailer that carries Funimation, even the Zon.

There will be no new releases from Funimation for the month of April, and retailer shipments of Funimation products, both new releases and catalog restocks, won't resume until around the last week of April. So we gotta bridge a period of around 5-6 weeks without being able to restock Funimation titles in our warehouse. We have been accumulating additional inventory levels in our warehouse across Funi's catalog since the beginning of the year, and if our estimates ('guesses') are correct, we should have few to no issues with Funi stockouts during this period. I just want to give everyone a heads up about potential shortages bc once Funi product starts to dry up at other stores over the next few weeks, and if the folks from Reddit have their way, we may end up with a lot of unanticipated demand for specific items. No worries, if we do run out of anything, we'll fill all customer backorders as soon as possible once retailer operations are back up and running in early May.

They definitely like to keep us on our toes. ;-)

I also wanted to mention that we have a manga title change. Yen On's 'Virgin Road' Novel is now titled 'Executioner and Her Way of Life'. I'm thinking that after some consideration, Yen decided having 'Virigin' in the title of the book might get it flagged by the censor bots at some of the major online retailers. Not mentioning any names of course.... ;-)

Seven Seas is making so many new announcements, one at a time, that it's getting hard to keep up. So far they have added:

Seven Seas also announced that it has licensed Shotaro Ishinomori's original Kamen Rider manga. The publisher will release the manga under the title Kamen Rider - The Classic Manga Collection, compiling all four volumes into a single large-trim print hardcover omnibus in December.

And Seven Seas also announced that it has licensed storywriter Ko Hiratori and artist J-ta Yamada's JK Haru is a Sex Worker in Another World (JK Haru wa Isekai de Shōfu ni Natta) manga, based on Hiratori and artist shimano's novels of the same name.

Yen Press has also been busy, announcing the following new manga licenses:

Texas anime convention A-Kon announced on Monday that this year's convention has been postponed due to the current state of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Customers can transfer their registration to next year's A-Kon event, or they can request a refund until April 4. The staff has not yet announced the location and dates for next year's convention.

For the second year, San Diego Comic-Con (officially, “Comic-Con International: San Diego”) has been canceled as a live, in-person event and replaced with a virtual con. But in a sign that the live event business still has some potential for 2021, San Diego Comic Convention, the non-profit that runs San Diego Comic-Con and WonderCon, announced that it will hold a three-day in-person convention in San Diego in November.

The official Twitter account for the Evangelion franchise announced that Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||), the "final" Evangelion film, has been rescheduled to Monday, March 8. The IMAX, MX4D, and 4DX screenings will all start on that day as well. To commemorate the new opening date, participating theaters will start handing out three million leaflets, featuring an exclusive illustration of Asuka by chief animation director Atsushi Nishigori, to filmgoers on March 8. (The leaflet will be B6-size, folded twice.) The franchise's website also confirmed that the film will be 155 minutes long, as opposed to 154 minutes as briefly listed on the website of Japan's Film Classification and Rating Organization (Eirin) earlier this month.
