Reunion 2020 Update

It is with great disappointment that we have cancelled the 2020 Reunion Weekend.

We are working on a plan to offer the Class of 1970 the opportunity to participate in a virtual induction ceremony into the Saint Anne Society, which pays tribute to our foundresses and honors the current members of the Saint Anne Society (alumnae 1950–1969). Details will be available soon.
All other reunion activities will be celebrated in 2021.

As we continue to face the challenges of COVID-19, the College has been preparing for the return to campus for Fall with one focus – to keep all as safe as possible and to offer a quality educational experience for our students. With this in mind, we will be limiting visitors to the campus for the coming months and will not be hosting any events.
Commencement 2020 Update

Commencement has been altered to a virtual event and will be released on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:30 PM. As prayer and faith are central to the mission and identity of Anna Maria College, we will also be offering the Baccalaureate Mass celebration as a virtual Prayer Service on Friday, August 21st at 5 PM.
Like many professional couples living and working through the coronavirus pandemic, class of 2011 husband and wife duo, Liz and Adam Martin have had to make some big adjustments in their daily lives.

Adam (Fire Science) and Liz Martin (Education) were taught to think on their feet and always prepare for the unexpected during their time at Anna Maria College. Adam is a Firefighter and Paramedic for the Northampton Fire Department. He has been working extra shifts throughout the pandemic to fill in for some of his colleagues who have contracted COVID-19. Liz teaches Kindergarten and First Grade at St. Michael’s School in Southern Vermont and was forced to quickly transition her entire curriculum to remote learning.

We recently had the opportunity to ask each of them a variety of questions about their experiences during COVID-19.
A letter from Joe Brady, '96,
Director of Athletics

Dear AMCAT Nation,

I hope everyone is doing well and that you and your family are safe and thriving.

With the health and safety of the AMCAT studentathletes, coaches, and campus community our priority, Anna Maria College and the Athletic Department — after exploring all options —made the difficult decision to suspend fall athletics competition.

This decision affected football, equestrian, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.

Our student-athletes are committed to representing Anna Maria College and work extremely hard in and out of the classroom to accomplish their goals. We will still provide an environment that helps them improve the skills, performance, and leadership skills. Our student-athletes will be strong together, and prepared when they’re able to compete.

We still need your support. Now, more than ever, we need to show our athletic community that we’re a family. Please get in touch with me, by email, at [email protected] to relay a message or a video message to our athletes and coaches. Your words of encouragement would mean a lot!

And won’t you consider a donation to the AMCAT Club? The AMCAT Club raises money to support a wide range of needs and opportunities for the Anna Maria Athletic teams. Alumni, parents and friends of the AMCAT athletic program join us in supporting the designated team of your choice or the athletic department. Now it’s your turn to RING THE BELL!

We look forward to the return of athletic competition at Anna Maria College someday soon. Thank you for supporting AMCAT Nation.

Thank you.

Joseph Brady ‘96
