"Once an AMCAT, always an AMCAT!"
Although they may not be together on campus, our students celebrated their academic and athletic achievements virtually this year. Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
Some of the biggest virus outbreaks of this century have changed conventional thinking about how to prepare for disease outbreaks. In 2003, there was Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS); the H1N1 influenza followed in 2009; Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in 2012; and the deadly Ebola virus in 2014. “With each outbreak, we learned more and more about preparing for a pandemic, but no one could have predicted the astronomical effects of COVID-19,” said Nick DaDalt ’13.
The Anna Maria Community Mourns a Loss

It is will great sadness that we share the loss of Dr. Claire Quintal '52, '98H, of Worcester on April 30th in St. Vincent Hospital, two days after her 90th birthday following a brief decline in health. She was the sister of Sr. Rollande Quintal, Dean of Mission Integration at Anna Maria College.

With an endless love for learning, Claire earned academic degrees with highest honors: a B.A. degree in French from Anna Maria College, an M.A. degree from the University of Montreal and a PhD degree from the University of Paris.
She was renowned as a French scholar, internationally and nationally known speaker, author, editor, and translator.
