Now that inclement weather season is upon us, please remember to check emails and updates on our Facebook page for center closings and delays due to weather. You can also sign up here to receive Weather Alerts.
Anne Arundel Community College Spring 2025 Courses
Online registration for the spring semester begins Tuesday, February 18th through Thursday, March 13th. Classes start the first week in April. All classes require an $80 administrative fee payable by check or major credit card. Those under the age of 60 pay an additional $40 per course. Some classes may have a supply fee. Register in-person at the senior activity center or online.

The Annapolis Senior Activity Center offers free membership to individuals 55 and over who are active, self-sufficient, and able to function independently. For more information, visit us in person or call 410-222-1818 for additional information about classes and activities.

Services at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center | |
Senior Center Plus
Senior Center Plus is a specialized four-hour program for older adults who need minimal assistance navigating the Senior Activity Centers. To discuss the admission process, please contact Lori Litke, Program Director, at 410-222-1818.
Senior Nutrition Lunch Program
Meals are served at the center Monday through Friday at noon. Please get in touch with Greta Wilson, Senior Nutrition Site Aide, at 410-222-1003 to reserve your lunch. Reservations for your lunch must be made a week in advance. Cancellations must be called in between the hours of 9 am to 1 pm. Voluntary donations for the meals are encouraged. Members will not be denied a meal if they are unable to donate.

We have begun scheduling appointments for free tax preparation services provided by AARP Tax-Aide volunteers. Tax appointments can be made on Mondays or Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will begin AARP tax preparations on Monday, February 3rd. Please stop by the center or call 410-222-1818 to make an appointment.

AARP Smart Driver Class
Monday, February 24th

Join us for the AARP Smart Driver Course! It's a great way to brush up on your driving skills and stay safe on the road. Many auto insurance companies offer a discount for individuals who complete the class. The class completion certificate is good for 3 years. The fee for AARP members is $20.00 and for non-AARP members is $25.00 Please make checks payable to AARP or cash is acceptable. Sorry, no credit cards. The AARP instructor will collect payments at the beginning of the class.

Sentimental Journey Singers (SJS)

Encore Creativity for Older Adults is the nation’s largest choral arts organization for adults 55 and over. With over 40 ensembles (and growing!) nationwide, and over 1500 singers ages 55 to 99, Encore is a leading organization in creative aging. We envision a world where all older adults have a place in the arts.
Sentimental Journey Singers is a 5-week community chorus for people with early to mid-stage memory loss, their care partners, and volunteer singers. Utilizing the expressive power and proven health benefits of music-making, participants will stimulate voice/body/brain connections, harmonize with others in a joyous environment, and develop an artistic craft under the direction of professional teaching artists.
In a space where everyone is seen, heard, and integral the Sentimental Journey singers can connect with and give back to their community through performance.

Annapolis Senior, Incorporated (ASI) Meeting

Annapolis Seniors, Incorporated (ASI) is our 501(c)(3) fundraising board made up of elected members of the Annapolis Senior Activity Center. Their mission is to supplement the county's budget for supplies, services, and programs offered at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center through donation management and fundraising.
All meetings are open to all the Senior Center members, and attendance is encourage.
Please come see what goes on behind the scenes in your Center! All creative ideas for fundraising, cultural program, art activity, a unique program or a special lunch to be offered. For example: ASI continues to sponsors such programs as: Bingo, Red, Hot, Blue lunches, Jewelry group, and Duplicate Bridge, Special Entertainment.
The Board of Annapolis Seniors, Inc, (ASI) meets on the third Thursday of each month.
