Greetings!
As we are enjoying the height of summer here on the shores of our beloved Chesapeake Bay, wanted to share with you a bit of exciting news.
We were recently contacted by a very successful e-commerce website and cool concept called Lot18. They pair their members (made up of wine lovers and foodies all over the world) with fantastic products at incredible values because of Lot18's ability to buy in one-time bulk lots. They wanted to commemorate the new change in Maryland law that finally allows direct shipping of wine to homes. When it came to putting the spotlight on Maryland, they selected Annapolis Seafood Markets as their choice to represent excellence in food from our great state. We are honored to be singled-out among the many restaurants and food retailer choices in the region and proud to let the world know about the best tasting crabs in the world.
I encourage you to check out their site at Lot18.com. Membership is free, but it is by invitation-only so click on the link in this email for insider access.
The special offer we partnered with them on is for a very limited time. So go there now if you want us to ship a dozen crabs to your doorstep. Or perhaps you can surprise your favorite friend who moved away and no longer has the opportunity to experience the delicious joy of fresh summer Maryland crabs that makes this community such a special place to be.
Thanks for your continued support of Annapolis Seafood Markets and our local watermen, as we strive to fulfill our mission: "To serve and connect the community through food and friendship."
Most sincerely,
Keith Rogers, CEO & Annapolis Foodie

Sharing a taste of the Chesapeake Bay with those far away
Local fishermen catch crabs from the Chesapeake Bay daily. This is the country's largest estuary, stretching 64,000 square miles, where Atlantic saltwater mixes with freshwater running down the East Coast. The result is an ideal breeding ground for crabs and a haven for crab lovers.
Annapolis Seafood Market sorts the daily catch by sex and weight. We chose large males, as their larger appendages yield more meat per crack. This offer includes a bag of Old Bay, the perfect way to season steamed summer crab.
We've also included two crab mallets for breaking through the shell. These hearty mallets were made famous in 2009 when one turned up off the coast of Australia, having made its way from our East Coast. While these mallets are perfect for breaking through the crabs' tough exteriors, I suggest you also keep small picks on hand. These crab legs have meat in even their smallest joints, and you'll want to enjoy that last sweet bite.
Tasting Note These crabs have an unmistakable aroma of the sea. Once you crack into their shells, you'll find lumps of sweet, succulent meat that retains a hint of brininess. They're a fun appetizer at dinner, but better for an outside meal where you don't have to worry about a mess if a crab claw or two go flying. Eat hot, dipped in butter, sprinkled with Old Bay or unadorned to savor the pure crab flavor.
