So many of you ask what is going on with the Deep Creek Ranch Property on Route 60 near Saddlebrook. Our office just received this notice today.



You are hereby notified that the Village of Round Lake Park, Lake County, Illinois, will contemplate and effectuate the annexation of the territory hereinafter described pursuant to the provisions of 65ILCS 5/7-1-8. The Village of Round Lake Park Board of Trustees intends to consider the annexation of such territory legally described in Exhibit A and depicted in Exhibit B on or after Monday, March16, 2026, which will be held at the Saddlebrook Lake Lodge, 2601 Saddlebrook Drive, Grayslake,

Illinois 60030, at 5:30 p.m.

Big things are happening behind the scenes at Northern Lakes Equine Practice!

We’re so excited to share the progress on our future NLEP home. Watching this space come together has been such a special journey. We are hopeful to move in sometime this summer.

While we’ll have a home base, we will continue to operate primarily as an ambulatory practice — bringing the same personalized, on-farm care you know and trust right to your barn.

Early voting at Fremont Township runs through March 14. Voting is around the back of our building in the lower level Monday through Friday 9 am til 5 pm, Saturday 9 am til 2 pm and closed on Sunday.

You may bring a mail in ballot and place in their drop box at a polling place during voting hours. The county also has drop boxes at the Courthouse in Mundelein at 105 Route 83 and at the Lake County Permit Facility at 500 Winchester Road.

We are still accepting Li-Heap appointments. ( Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).  Fremont Township residents should call Nancy at 847 223-2847 for an appointment.

The AARP Defensive Driving Course will be held on Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday May 27 from 9:00 am til 1:00 pm in the lower level of our building. Call Nancy at 847 223-2847 to register. You must attend both classes. $20 for AARP members $25 for all others.

Mundelein Park & Recreation District offers a variety of programs exclusively for ages 50 and over. Programs are held at the Regent Center, a multi-purpose center serving the needs and interests of Mundelein and area residents. Click here for more information.

Recycling Drop-Off Available

You can recycle the following items in the shed located in our front parking lot:

• Bedding and pet items (leashes, collars, toys, pet food, etc.) for dogs
• Shoes
• Yarn
• American flags (for proper retirement)
• Eyeglasses and hearing aids
