The Aiken Horse Park Foundation Board of Directors is honored to announce the members of the Annie Goodwin Rising Star Grant Committee. All members have generously offered their time and energy to help select a deserving candidate each year.

Daniel Geitner - AHPF board member, Hunter/Jumper Professional

Putter Goodwin - Annie's dad

Gene "Tiger" Kneece - Polo Professional

Boyd Martin - Olympian, Eventing Professional

Catherine Stumberg - Hunter/Jumper Amateur

Caitlin Silliman - Eventing Professional

Robert "Bobby" Stevenson - Olympian, Eventing Professional

It has been just over a year since Annie's passing, yet the standard she set for herself as a young equestrian professional remains the bar for many aspiring young riders today. Over the last few months, AHPF staff along with Annie's parents Tina and Putter have worked hard to put together a meaningful grant application. An application that gives potential grantees an opportunity to demonstrate their passion for equestrian sport, express their desire for growth, and personify good character.

Each Member of the selection committee had a strong connection to Annie that transcended sport, friendship, and family. Together with a thoughtfully crafted application, the committee is poised to successfully chose a worthy candidate.

All documents were submitted to the IRS via Form 8940 and Schedule H of Form 1023. We hope to make the application live by the end of 2022, give the committee applications to review in January and February, and then announce the 2023 recipient during the Grand-Prix Eventing Festival in March.

THE ANNIE GOODWIN RISING STAR FUND

DONATE

Thank you to all of Annie's friends and family who have already donated to the Annie Goodwin Rising Star Fund. To date we have raised $122,274.00. These funds will serve as the initial corpus to provide for the annual grant program.

We encourage everyone to continue to donate to this fund in support of Annie's memory so that more aspiring young professionals may experience the impact of Annie's gift.
