We believe that this is a great day for the Early Learning Community of Florida as FACCM announces that Jennifer Shields has been appointed our new Executive Director.
Ms. Shields has a wealth of experience in the early learning field, and we are confident that her passion and commitment to Florida's Child Care industry will serve the state's children, families, and child care business owners especially well.
Ms. Shields has been a FACCM Board member for the past two years and has served a term as our legislative committee co-chair. She previously served as a teacher, School Director, and Regional Compliance Manager for The Learning Care Group. She has experience working with the Department of Children and Families, the Office of Early Learning and Early Learning Coalitions; managing the Provider Department for 5 of her 7 years with the Brevard County ELC. In all, she has over 25 years of experience across a large section of the Child Care industry.
FACCM has long served as the only voice of private Child Care businesses in Florida. During these exceptionally challenging times, it is of vital importance that the issues affecting Child Care be heard and understood in Tallahassee and across the state. As such, FACCM's Board of Directors believe that Jennifer Shields is the very best person to lead our organization.
Join us in welcoming Jennifer to the FACCM staff, and we look forward to a great future for Florida's Child Care industry!
