Study Abroad & Global Education Programs

Is your student interested in studying abroad ? Many students begin their international experiences through a summer program. Ahead of the summer 2020 program application launch, the Director of Global Education, Sylvia Mitterndorfer , will lead this session about study abroad and global education.

This webinar will present information on the value of international experiences, the types of semester and short-term study abroad programs offered at W&M, application processes, scholarship opportunities, and financial matters related to overseas studies
A Conversation with President Rowe

President Rowe became William & Mary's 28th president on July 1, 2018 and was inaugurated on February 8, 2019.

A recognized leader, teacher, scholar and entrepreneur, Rowe is a passionate advocate for the relevance of the liberal arts and their critical intersections with technology and research.

Join President Rowe for an intimate conversation about her recent read "Range" by David Epstein , which Forbes describes as "The most important business - and parenting - book of the year." Rowe will be discussing the introduction of the book as well as "Chapter 9: Lateral Thinking with Withered Technology".

Academic Success: Surviving Midterms

Peter Atwater: Confidence-Driven Decision-Making

When Peter Atwater turned 45, his son said, “Dad you are halfway to ninety.” Three months later he left a very successful career in financial services to do something different. Tossing aside his academic training in economics and his experience on Wall Street, Peter turned to social psychology and discovered that not only do we act as we feel, but we do so consistently, too.

Today, Peter teaches confidence-driven decision-making in the Economics Department at William & Mary and to honors students at the University of Delaware. Join Peter Atwater for a discussion on confidence-driven decision-making and how it affects your student.
