IMPORTANT UPDATE: WOMEN MOVING FORWARD®

From Susan:

Since I will be leading 2 Women Leadership Retreats in 2019 I have had to make some changes to my schedule for 2019.

The Women Moving Forward® scheduled for New Jersey is the last community based workshop I will be leading outside of California. I will still be available to lead WMF® inside your company wherever you are.

So if you have family, friends and associates you want to refer to New Jersey Dec. 5-7, 2018 please let them know these will be the last one held in that location.

In addition, in 2019, I will only lead 2 community based Women Moving Forwards®in California: March 13-15, 2019 & September 18-20, 2019. The cost for those will be $4750 pp. To register at the 2018 price, $3750 per person you must register by December 1, 2018.

Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you at Graduate Lunch in NJ, Monday Dec. 3. RSVP via E-mail.

Feedback for "Killing My Children"Article

The most disturbing comment came from a teenage son of a graduate who quipped " I want to go to college in Europe so I don't get shot!" (Interview coming from this bright young mind, soon!)

Great article… I just had a chat with some colleagues about children in some schools now being trained to apply tourniquets to save lives in the event of a shooting…UNBELIEVABLE!!! Your article was very powerful in describing the phenomenon of worrying daily about your children’s lives!

Hope this finds both of you well and content. John, I enjoyed your article on "Killing My Children". It is sad that we as humans only seem to make significant changes in how we think of and treat other people in very short terms. I look back at the progress we make in the 80's and 90's and yet it seems that has faded away. I understand that it is a new generation (in some cases} and that each new generation needs to be taught. But do the rest of us, as a group, really have that short of a memory? If so, then how can we extend our memories of treating each other with dignity and respect, regardless of who we are and where we came from.

I am appalled at the hatred I see visually displayed in this country. I don't understand that mentality. There are people I don't like and don't agree with, but I don't wish them harm and I would not cause them harm. You know me well enough to know that I am not an idealist but a realist. I know what is possible because I've seen it. I wish everyone had the opportunity to see and understand what is possible when it comes to relationships between people. I also wish that people would take that experience and pass it along to others. Acts of kindness and acceptance occur every day and yet that doesn't seem to be important or news worthy.
