Exciting News!! - Lustig Jewelers Tradition To Remain Under New Ownership…

Friends...

I would like to extend my deepest thanks for the heartfelt support and loyalty you have shown my family for the last 75 years. My decision to retire and generate a going-out-of-business sale has been one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I was concerned about my staff, some who have worked for my family for up to 46 years, and all of you, who have supported my family and staff for generations.

Who would service your jewelry needs?

Months ago, when I made the decision to retire, my only option was to run a going-out-of-business sale.

In the past couple of months, other options have presented themselves.

That said, I am happy to announce that Lustig Jewelers will continue to serve Lake County and the Chicagoland communities under new ownership. Michael Helfer of Gregg Helfer Ltd., a family-owned jeweler with over 75 years of history in our community, has acquired the name Lustig Jewelers; thus, the Lustig Jewelers name will remain, a testament to the trust and tradition we have established with you, our friends.

I am thrilled to share that some of our staff will be remaining with the business. This includes Roman, our long-tenured master jeweler, whose skill and dedication have made him an invaluable part of the Lustig family. Along with Roman, other familiar faces, Girly, Paula and Jill, will continue to service your jewelry needs.

I am confident that after getting to know Michael Helfer, you will recognize his strong commitment to family, which will resonate in the quality service provided and the relationships established; thus, Michael is a perfect fit to carry on the culture my family created so many years ago.

I am happy to announce that Michael has agreed to service our customers' warranties.

Michael will continue to uphold our cherished motto: "Come in as a customer...Leave as our friend." This guiding principle will remain at the heart of every experience at Lustig Jewelers, as it always has.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories…
