Dear Sisters and Brothers:
The Lord be with you.
The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is blessed with a long and rich history of university education. Many of us are graduates and supporters of these institutions. They hold special memories for us, and therefore, hearing news of changes and reductions for any of our schools can be difficult.
This week, news was shared about these possibilities for Concordia Ann Arbor and Wisconsin. While I wish I had more news for you than what has already been shared, at this point and as we wait to learn more about the plan forward, please join me in praying for President Ankerberg, the University President, President Davis, the Michigan District President, the Regents, the Faculty, Staff, Students, and all involved in the decision-making process and affected by those decisions.
The Michigan District has launched an effort to support Concordia, Ann Arbor. For more information, please follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkQBQei0Y5E
We pray
Almighty and ever-living God; we praise You for Your mercy and grace upon us, Your people. We lift before you the colleges and universities of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Bless them with every opportunity to shine Your light of love on those they serve. We especially pray for Concordia Ann Arbor and Wisconsin. As difficult conversations and decisions are before leaders, grant them wisdom and courage for the facing of this hour. May the Spirit of Your love bind us together and guide us in this time. This we pray in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen!
