After six years as Executive Director of Malta House, Carey Dougherty has decided to relocate to California with her family. While we are sad to see her go, we are very excited for her and enormously grateful for the tremendous legacy she leaves.
Carey’s vision and leadership have been invaluable during a particularly pivotal time for Malta House. Her oversight of our successful $5 million capital campaign enabled us to move to our marvelous new facility on West Rocks Rd. in Norwalk, with substantially more capacity for serving mothers in need and their babies. Carey’s leadership has also resulted in a significant increase in funding to help finance our expanded operations and programming.
The Malta House Board has been blessed with Carey’s passion and commitment. She puts so much love and care into everything she does at Malta House and will be greatly missed. We all wish her the very best as she embarks on this next chapter in her life.
Carey will be with us through the end of March. An executive search firm has been retained to identify a highly qualified individual to assume her responsibilities as Executive Director. We will inform you when the position is filled. A
press release will be issued later today. Also,
here is a statement from Carey.
We remain grateful for your continued support of Malta House.
Sincerely,
