Today, ASCA learned of the passing of founding Association member, William "Bill" Bracewell. On behalf of ASCA’s Board of Directors, members, staff, and partners, we extend our deepest sympathies to Bill’s family, particularly his partner Camilla.

Bill proudly served the University of Georgia from 1965 until his retirement in 2000 where he found his passion in mentoring and working with students.

Bill was a founding member of the Association for Student Judicial Affairs (now ASCA) and served as the first chair for the Annual Conference. Bill also served as the second president of the organization (1990-1991 term). In honor of his service to ASJA/ASCA, the conference's internship program carries his namesake as the William Bracewell Graduate Assistantship. ASCA wishes to thank Bill for his contributions to the profession and sends its condolences to his loved ones who grieve this loss.
