WOMEN’S MINISTRY

Sunday, October 4th

All ladies are invited to join us for our monthly meeting after worship this Sunday, October 4th!

Come join us for fellowship, devotion, and outreach.

We would love to have you come and be a part!

CANNED FOOD DRIVE

The McGill Youth have entered the Can Sculpture Competition with 1Can!

We are using canned foods to create a unique sculpture, and competing with other businesses, schools, and churches. If we win, we get a cool trophy! In the end, 1Can is the true winner as they will collect all the food used in these sculptures.

We need LOTS of cans. You can use the bins located in the foyer and by the kitchen entrance to drop off your donations.

Here are the canned foods needed:

Green beans

Corn

Carrots

Peas

Mixed vegetables

Black beans (or other beans)

Spaghettios

Pasta sauce

Soup

Thank you for supporting 1Can as they provide food for Cabarrus County!

CABARRUS COUNTY CROP WALK

Sunday, October 11th

Kimball Lutheran Church

2:00pm

We are only two weeks away from CROP Walk day! There is still time to join the McGill team. You can walk with us around Kannapolis, or you have the option to donate using the link below.

This event makes such a big difference for people in our own community. Let's join together in a great ministry!

Every $10 donated earns a chance to win one dozen boxed fancy holiday cookies by Paige’s Designer Cookies!! (10 winners chosen. Local pick up only, Concord NC).

FALL FESTIVAL

Friday, October 30th

6:00pm - 8:00pm

Invite your friends and join us for a fun evening of games, food, candy, costumes, and trunk ‘r’ treat!

We still need at least 8 more volunteers to decorate their trunks and more volunteers to lead the games.

Please use the orange forms on the table in the foyer to sign up to volunteer. Also, Rene’ has requested that those who have donated/will donate candy leave their names with the candy bags so she can send a Thank You note!

  • Deodorant
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Tissues
  • Lip balm

There are collection bins located in the foyer. They hope to exceed last year's count of 100 stockings! See Maria or Brianna Arrowood for further information.

THIS SUNDAY

Dr. Jamie Redhing will read Exodus 33:7-11a.

The Gospel reading comes from Matthew 5:21-26, and the Epistle lesson is from Philippians 2:17-30. Rev. Dallas Flippin will deliver the message, Joy in Good Company.

This Sunday is World Communion Sunday! We are looking forward to sharing the Bread and the Cup together as we consider the ways we interact with our neighbor. There will also be an opportunity during this time to uplift our loved ones in prayer at our Prayer Stations.
