With the Thanksgiving holiday, families made decisions for gathering. To help us in these difficult times, the medical professionals told us to practice safe social distancing, limit the size of family gatherings to 10 or less, and wear a mask. We understand some families chose to have bigger gatherings.

We all have different needs right now, spiritual, physical, and emotional. We are not out to condemn anyone. For safety sake, if you were part of a bigger gathering, we want to continue to follow the suggestions by the healthcare professionals as we have been doing. If you were part of a big family gathering, we ask you to consider taking a week of worshipping by online streaming only, and not attend in-person services, to see if any symptoms show up after you had your family gathering. This is for the sake of minimizing the chance for the spread of Covid at worship. We are so thankful for the ability to live stream our services to bring you the Word.

We certainly invite everyone to also celebrate "drive-thru" Holy Communion after worship services (details below!) and are always ready to talk to you on the phone and minister to you with the word of God on a personal basis.

We're praying for everybody in this coming special Thanksgiving and Advent/Christmas season, and may God guard and keep us in heart body and mind.
MASKS: Must be worn to attend in-person worship.
Concerning Masks During Worship:
If you have been watching the news or reading the newspaper or following social media, you know that there is a spike in new COVID-19 cases in our area. Several just at our church alone.

However, as has been the case for us all along the leadership team of the church is asking people who attend worship to wear masks for the sake of both yourself and those worshipping with you. We do understand there are those who cannot wear masks for various reasons. We are asking those people to please sit up front or stay home. If you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive, please quarantine/get tested and do not come to church until you are in the clear. Temperatures will be taken at the door and we will ask you to sanitize your hands.

Also, services have been limited to 60 minutes, as well as any activities, like Bible Studies. The church leadership team has discussed purchasing special HEPA filters for our air system. These special filters kill the virus.

If we follow these guidelines, everyone is giving a little with the thought of trying to help our neighbors hear about Jesus. We just want everyone to hear the Word, the most important concern of all. We pray that the same love that led our Lord to the cross where he gave up all for us leads each to sacrifice for our neighbor to help them receive the gift of Jesus.

  • Do I believe that Jesus died for my sins and forgives me?

  • Do I believe I am receiving the true body and blood of Jesus under the bread and wine for the forgiveness of my sins?

At-Home Resources from
for You and Your Family!
God has called all believers to be powerful witnesses for Christ to their families and communities. In addition to proclaiming Christ via mass media, Lutheran Hour Ministries has a long and respected track record for partnering with congregations to enact outreach activities that work in concert with their Gospel proclamation mission. This foundation serves as a catalyst as we equip and embolden laypeople to be missionaries in their communities by developing resources that lay members can use to address situations in people’s lives or answer questions about Christianity and faith.

At LHM, we strive to create convenient ways for you to connect with Jesus and share your faith with others. Our products are free, easy, and digital so that you can use them in your home, on-the-go, or wherever you may be.
