JUDICIAL EVALUATIONS COMMITTEE
Call for Judicial Candidates & Committee Volunteers
The Langston Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluations Committee supports the advancement of a highly qualified and representative judiciary by evaluating candidates seeking judicial appointment and providing recommendations to the Governor’s Office. Through a fair, thorough, and confidential process, the Committee assesses candidates’ qualifications, experience, integrity, temperament, and commitment to equal justice and the fair administration of the law.
SEEKING JUDICIAL CANDIDATES
Langston members and other candidates who have applied for judicial appointment and are interested in being interviewed and evaluated by the Committee are encouraged to contact Co-Chairs Bernie Brown and James Sargent. The Committee welcomes the opportunity to meet with candidates and provide Langston’s perspective and recommendation as part of the judicial appointments process.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Committee is actively seeking Langston members to participate in candidate interviews and the evaluation process. This is an important opportunity to contribute directly to Langston’s voice in the judicial selection process and help ensure that outstanding candidates receive thoughtful and meaningful consideration.
We need your participation. Members from all practice areas and levels of experience are encouraged to volunteer. A broad cross-section of perspectives strengthens the Committee’s work and the quality of its evaluations.
