Below is a link to a video of our morning prayers and announcements for Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Each day, I'll include the day's announcements in a bulleted list in this message so can skip the video if you wish.
-A note to anyone doing their school work while wearing their school uniform. Yesterday marked the start of the summer uniform!
-Governor Northam’s announcement yesterday makes it more important than ever that we practice social distancing. Thanks to all HCA families for doing you part to slow down the spread of this virus.
-As students work hard these next few days, I hope they are looking forward to Fellowship Friday. I know your teachers and peers can’t wait to see you.
-In today's E-blast, you will notice three advertisements. These advertisers bought space in our musical program for
Singing in the Rain, Jr
. Unfortunately, the show cannot be performed this spring. These generous companies turned down a refund of their ad for inclusion in our school E-blast for one week. Thank you to our generous sponsors!
-Please make sure you reach out for help if you need it. We want to support our families at this time.
-In light of recent events, the Diocese has extended the deadline for finanical aide to April 17th.
Notes for Using Zoom and/or Google Meet
-Teachers will be using Zoom or Google Meet to offer their video conferencing. To learn more about how to use Zoom, you can follow this link
. Both tools free for students, do not require a login or account, and are similar for our students to use.
-Students will access the video conferences by clicking a link supplied by their teacher in their daily email. These video conferences will be organized, supervised, and run by our faculty. Parents are, of course, invited to view these sessions with their child.
-Like all new things involving technology, we know we will experience some snags with implementation. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we get up to speed with these new technology tools!
