Happy August birthdays!!! Best wishes to Milya, Claudia, Jesse, Tom, Marianne, and any others celebrating your special day this month.
In the last week of checking in with our friend Matt, I happened to mention the heat and wondered how it was for him. his description of having no air-conditioning anywhere the inmates occupy and working in crowded spaces under deadlines to complete projects gave me claustrophobia and reminded me just how challenging it is to maintain health in our current prison environment.

On First Saturdays, we will continue our monthly rallies in support of reproductive rights for all.

Please mark your calendars for next Saturday, Aug. 6 from 4-5pm when we’ll meet in front of Planned Parenthood in MV (1805 E. Division St.) to rally for reproductive rights.

I’m requesting masks - but it’s up to each of you. Stupid COVID is not done with us yet. Bring your own signs or I’ll have plenty of extra to share, along with shirts. Also, by all means bring your friends and family. If you’d like me to send emails to others, just send me the email addresses and I’ll get them on the list.

For questions, email me back. Otherwise, I’ll look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday.

Onward,
Deb Grant, (She/Her/Hers)
