Upcoming Services at SUUF
November 29 & December 6
"For migrant families in rural America, survival isn't easy. For five young women in Washington's Skagit Valley, survival isn't enough."
This is the introduction to a 2016 documentary filmed in our own backyard. For these two weeks, we have the good fortune to take a look at the film and meet one of the young ladies who participated in its production.
In week 1, we'll watch the documentary "Every Row A Path", where we go inside the lives of local high school girls as they navigate their difficult lives as students and migrant farm workers.
In week 2, Cilviana Hernandez will join us to share how the making of the documentary impacted her life and that of her family.
In keeping with our commitment to worship together with other Pacific Northwest congregations, this series is being co-presented by members of Free Church Unitarian in Blaine. Please plan to attend both weeks as the services are connected in many ways to both churches.
