Save Our Wild Salmon
Speaker: Joseph Bogaard
Executive Director, Save Our Wild Salmon
Celebrant: Jim Heard
Music: Pete Smith
We will review the crucial importance of salmon and their worrisome plight in order to appreciate what an urgent opportunity we have to open the Snake River, a project to which SUUF has been lending its voice over the last year. Bring your questions; this will be a participatory service.
Save Our wild Salmon is a diverse, nationwide coalition working together to restore wild salmon and steelhead to the rivers, streams and marine waters of the Pacific Northwest for the benefit of our region's ecology, economy and culture.

“ Sacred Laughter and Awe”
Sages tell us that on our mysterious life journey, it’s best to sell cleverness and buy bewilderment. God wants to see more playfulness and awe in our eyes. This is our greatest witness to Spirit.

Volunteer Opportunity
To help in the CRE rooms when parents with children attend our services.
Sherri Stites and Susan Wilson are working together to put together a list of people from our congregation who are willing to volunteer their time one Sunday a month, or every two months, (depending on the number of volunteers.) Sherri will be collecting the names of those interested in volunteering to do this much-needed task. Once we have a list of those interested, we will meet to decide on the curriculum and schedule background checks. If you have any questions feel free to contact Sherri at sherristites@gmail.com.

We see farmworkers in the fields all around us-bringing in the harvest so we have wonderful food! As the wheel turns towards Fall, it is a good time to give thanks and support to the farm workers who work hard (think heat waves) for little pay, little job security and other challenges. The organization Community to Community Development focuses on food justice, racial justice and other forms of systemic oppression. As we each enjoy the harvests this Fall, hold in your hearts and minds, and donate if possible, to this organization in support of the farm workers.

Dave Young has moved to Edison. As you know, he sold their Bayview home after Pat died. His daughter, Rachel, who already lived in Edison, will be just a few houses away on the lovely little main street that runs through town. His new address is: 14064 Mactaggart Ave, Bow 98232. Congratulations, Dave | |
