A Manitoba Government Grant Success Story
Two months ago, we announced we had received the Manitoba Government’s Safe at Home program grant. With three programs left in the 11-part series, today we are announcing the creation of our Ethno-Cultural Arts division. The division includes the Folklorama at Home, Folklorama at Work, and Folklorama at School programs launched last year, but will now incorporate workshops and classes. 
The first virtual workshop is scheduled for April 9th, 2021 and will feature painting for passion without using a brush with local Latin American artist, Jorge Figueroa. More virtual and eventually in-person workshops will be announced shortly!
Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship for Excellence Opportunity!
Together with the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, Folklorama is pleased to announce the 2021 Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship for Excellence. This is an annual award of excellence for ethno-cultural heritage preservation.

There are eight (8) post-secondary scholarships of $1,000 each.

All applications are due Friday, April 30, 2021 by 5:00pm.

Celebration of International Women's Day 2021
On behalf of Asian Women of Winnipeg (AWOW), we would like to invite you to join their awards dinner in celebration of International Women’s Day which will be held on Saturday March 13th 2021 at 5:30 pm.

The event is free, but AWOW is requesting a minimum $10 donation, with money raised donated to women's shelter Willow Place Inc.
