EyesOn Design Poster Art to be unveiled Tues, Feb 19 at Cauley Ferrari, befitting 2019 Lifetime Design Achievement Award recipient.
The commemorative poster artwork for the 32nd annual EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition will be unveiled at 6pm on Tuesday, Feb 19 at Cauley Ferrari in West Bloomfield.
Members of the media, the auto industry and enthusiasts are invited to register to attend the unveiling.
The poster is the work of award-winning artist James Dietz, known for his compelling images of the men and machinery that have shaped our century, bringing to life stories from the past. The work Dietz has created is especially appropriate to EyesOn Design's 2019 car show theme: DESIGN AROUND THE WORLD.
The selection for the unveiling of Cauley, Michigan's only Ferrari dealership and a spectacular example of design in its own right, is a nod to the selection of Leonardo Fioravanti as the recipient of the 2019 EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Many Fioravanti-designed vehicles will be on hand during the unveiling.
Remarks during the poster unveiling will be made by:
Philip C. Hessburg, M.D., Medical Director, Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology
Marcus Shelley, Executive Director, EyesOn Design
Tom Hale, Artist and graduate of ArtCenter College of Design
Bill Chapin, Honorary Chairman, EyesOn Design
Recognized as one of the Top Five car shows by U.S.A. Today, EyesOn Design takes place each Father's Day in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan.
James Dietz will attend the car show on June 16, and will sign copies of the commemorative poster. Leonardo Fioravanti will also come to Detroit from Turin, Italy to receive the Lifetime Design Achievement Award at a black-tie gala on June 14. Both events are open to the public, and tickets are available for purchase.
A benefit for the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, EyesOn Design is a major source of revenue for the DIO's research, education and support group programs for the visually impaired.
