Join Us on October 21 for our Virtual Fall Conference!
The Connecticut Policy and Energy Society is excited to announce its 2021 Fall Conference “The Future of Energy: What’s the Deal?,” which will take place virtually on October 21st.
This year, The Future of Energy will highlight emerging trends within the energy industry focused on equity and inclusion. Throughout this day-long event, we will spotlight the ways the energy industry can be a continued driver towards representing underserved populations while providing attendees with important and substantive energy industry updates. Our panelists will bring their diverse perspectives to CPES for both short chats and deeper, substantive discussions, including:
- What Connecticut municipalities are doing to incentivize development in underserved communities.
- How diverse voices are incorporated in renewable energy development.
- The Connecticut Green Bank’s commitment to assisting underserved communities and the energy equity policies adopted by New York and California.
- How the energy industry can assist Connecticut’s growing cannabis industry as a result of recent Connecticut legislation and ensure the equity component of that legislation is a success.
In the afternoon we will bring together perspectives from the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority as well as State and Federal Legislators to discuss how they incorporate equity into their respective regulatory and policymaking processes.
We hope you will join us on October 21st to learn more about these important energy topics and their intersection with diversity, equity and inclusion.
