Dear e-Stewards Enterprise Partner,
I am writing to introduce myself as the new Enterprise and ESG Director at e-Stewards, the global leader in responsible e-waste management.
Previously, the e-Stewards Certification Director, I am very excited to work with our valued enterprise/institutional partners directly, as your liaison in advancement of the e-Stewards' mission to ensure the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility in the Information Technology Asset Disposition (ITAD) industry.
Today, I wish to announce some improvements to our Enterprise Program. To offer more companies and institutional leaders the opportunity and advantages of joining the e-Stewards movement, we are rolling out program changes offering a lower barrier of entry while enhancing our value proposition.
As an Enterprise Partner in the new and simplified program, you will be remain as part of our global movement of excellence in e-waste management and will enjoy the following benefits:
- Use of the e-Stewards Enterprise Logo, revealing your commitment to the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility in used electronics stewardship.

Showcase of your company/institution on the e-Stewards website, and promotional materials, enhancing your visibility and credibility among your customers.
- Option to participate in employee-engagement programs, including e-Stewards electronic waste collection days and brown-bag speaking engagements of your own design.
- Access to the e-Stewards Intellectual Property Library, including a wealth of resources including photos, videos, and white papers.
- Option to contribute to the e-Stewards Social Impact program, ADVANCE+, a workforce inclusion program for people with disabilities in the recycling sector, demonstrating your social leadership.
- Option to use our proprietary EarthEye GPS Tracking system at a discount, enabling you to track and verify the movement and disposition of your electronic assets downstream.
- Eligibility for a seat on the e-Stewards Leadership Council, our advisory board, which will give you an opportunity to share your knowledge and leadership, helping shape the future direction of the e-Stewards program and the electronics recycling industry.
As of January 1, 2024, to ensure more Enterprises can enjoy these benefits and amplify the movement to attract more Certified Recyclers, we have lowered barriers of entry as follows:
- e-Stewards Enterprises no longer need to sign a license agreement but only need to sign a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to mutual sharing of logos and names on your terms.
- Under the new program, Enterprises may contribute a voluntary donation, rather than a mandatory fee. As an existing partner, we hope you will be able to maintain your existing or greater contribution which helps us promote and enhance the e-Stewards program.
The minimum entry requirements are:
- confirmation of the use or intent to use at least one e-Stewards Processor;
- an ongoing preference for e-Stewards Certified Processors as reflected in vendor bidding procedures; and
- a quick annual report demonstrating and updating the above commitments.
These updates will take effect after January 1, 2024 on your agreement renewal date. Instead of renewing the old license agreement, both parties will sign the new Memorandum of Understanding. In it, you will be able to indicate if we should maintain your old fee as your donation amount, or another amount of your choosing. We will then invoice you for that donation amount. The Basel Action Network, the Administrator of the e-Stewards program, is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that qualifies for tax-exempt status on donations made.

We hope that you choose to maintain your leadership and engagement as the program continues to evolve. I look forward to working with you to ensure a mutually beneficial and lasting partnership.
