Fundraising Victory for The Palmetto School Children!
As you know,   The Taste of Fort Mill  is a fundraising event that exclusively supports  The Palmetto School at the Children's Attention Home.   On behalf of our army of volunteers, I want to thank our   Sponsors,  Culinary Participants,  Friends of The Palmetto School  and guests for helping make the 2017 Taste of Fort Mill a complete success. I also want to extend a  special note of thanks to all of you who have supported the school and this event for the past five years. The evening was once again fantastic.
Our guests' raved about the food selections served by our local Fort Mill restaurants and caterers. To each of our participants, thank you! The music and dancing was terrific. Thank you, DJ Jeremy, for keeping us entertained! This year's attendance was near an all-time high with yet another sold out event.

I'm pleased to report that with your help, we raised over $108,000.00, exceeding our goal! Due to the generosity of our In-Kind Sponsors and volunteers, we are able to donate in excess of $100,000.00 (93%) to The Palmetto School, all of which will support the needs of the children.

We are told The Taste of Fort Mill is the largest single day fundraising event in York County in which an average of 90% of the funds raised goes to charity. Each of you should be proud to be a part of this accomplishment. I want to thank our Volunteers, particularly our student volunteers from Nation Ford High School's Junior Civitan Club. These student volunteers did a great job helping out the night of our event. Your parents, your school and your classmates should be very proud of you.

This event is created and hosted by volunteers each year. We welcome newcomers! Contact Us to learn more about our team and join us as we begin plans for the 2018 Taste of Fort Mill which will take place Friday, April 27th. Please, mark your calendar as we will come together once again to celebrate and support the mission of The Palmetto School.

It has been my honor to be your 2017 TOFM host and Chairperson.

Kind Regards,
Dan Wilde

A word from the Principal/Executive Director

This year's Taste of Fort Mill was the most magical and spectacular evening of Friendship, Fellowship and Fundraising! We are blessed to receive the benefits of what I consider to be t he most spectacular party in all of York County. Over 60% of our budget comes from fundraising. This event supports approximately one third of that budget. Because of your generosity, we are able to keep our doors open and address the unique needs of our students. My deepest gratitude to the Fort Mill community for strengthening us in our mission!
