Camp Ramah Scholarships Announcement

Dear B'nai Israel,

Thanksgiving may be this week, but we are already thinking about Summer 2025! If your family or a loved one has a child eligible for camping next summer, we want to make sure you aware of significant and generous scholarship funds available for B'nai Israel families to send their children to Camp Ramah, the official camping arm of the Conservative movement.

B’nai Israel is fortunate to have generous donors and supporters who have established endowment funds to help enable B’nai Israel members to experience Camp Ramah, which offers both a local day camp and a sleep-away camp, Camp Ramah New England. There are other Ramah camping experiences which are eligible for scholarships from B'nai Israel. We have a variety of scholarships to offer for these Ramah summer experiences. Read more about eligibility for these scholarships below, and make sure to check out the very bottom of this email for information about a special scholarship for first-time Jewish overnight campers.

One Happy Camper Scholarship for First-Time Jewish Overnight Camps

Up to $1,500 in additional scholarship funds!

If you are considering other wonderful Jewish summer camp experiences outside of Ramah we want to ensure you know about the One Happy Camper scholarship.

For the past ten years, The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington has partnered with The Foundation for Jewish Camp’s One Happy Camper, a program that facilitates 100% Federation-funded grant distribution for first-year Jewish overnight campers. The One Happy Camper program works to inspire new campers to try Jewish overnight camp through incentive grants. One Happy Camper shares Federation’s belief that “children with pivotal Jewish camp experiences are more likely to become adults who value their Jewish heritage, support Jewish causes, and take on leadership roles in their communities.”
