To the Pace Community:

I am pleased to be able to share details about Commencement 2025, so that you may get a head start on your planning.

Due to ongoing construction at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens restricting the use of Arthur Ashe Stadium, Commencement will be held on two consecutive days, Monday, May 19, 2025 and Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in the Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Undergraduate school and college ceremonies, including the main ceremony, which will feature the keynote commencement speaker will be on Monday, May 19, 2025. Graduate school and college ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, May 20.

The schedule, which is subject to change, is as follows:

Monday, May 19, 2025: Undergraduate Day (including Sands College graduate students)

  • 9:45 a.m. | Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Sands College of Performing Arts (including graduate students), and School of Education
  • 1:00 p.m. | Undergraduate Main Ceremony
  • 3:30 p.m. | Lubin School of Business, College of Health Professions, and Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems

Tuesday, May 20, 2025: Graduate Day

  • 9:30 a.m. | Elisabeth Haub School of Law
  • 12:00 p.m. | Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, Lubin School of Business, and College of Health Professions
  • 3:30 p.m.| Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems

Building on the fantastic experiences we have had at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, we know these ceremonies will continue to provide a memorable experience to commemorate all your hard work.

This year, all graduates are automatically eligible for up to six guest tickets for family and friends for both your school’s ceremony and the undergraduate main ceremony, if applicable. If you need additional tickets, you may request them when registering to attend, and they will be approved on a rolling basis.

As a reminder, the nomination process for this year’s Commencement speakers and honorary degree recipients is now open. The Pace Community is encouraged to submit nominations via the provided form by Friday, October 25. The Commencement Speaker Advisory Committee, co-chaired by Jeff Barnett, PhD, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Joe Sgammato, Director of Executive Communications, alongside student, staff, and faculty representatives, will review submissions. Ideal candidates embody the Pace mission of Opportunitas, serve as role models, and have a connection to the University, making their stories resonate with the community.

For more information and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit www.pace.edu/commencement. Details regarding registering to attend, requesting tickets, and ordering regalia will be available closer to the new year.
