A Message from President Delgado
July 5, 2023
Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to inform you that Ms. Dawn Ewing Morgan, Vice President for Diversity and Human Resources, will retire from Lehman College on July 14, 2023.
Ms. Morgan has played a vital role in the college, rising in administration to increasingly responsible positions. She joined Lehman College in 1993 as an Equal Employment/Affirmative Action Officer and later assumed the dual role of Chief Diversity Officer and Chief of Staff to the President in 2007. Since 2018, she has served as Chief Diversity Officer and Executive in Charge of Human Resources, adding value to the college's collective efforts in an expanded role as Vice President for Diversity and Human Resources since April of 2020.

Ms. Morgan is a graduate of the CUNY Executive Leadership Program and the Harvard University Institute for Higher Education Management Development Program. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute. Ms. Morgan's institutional knowledge, valued contributions, and leadership in important college initiatives will be missed.

Her positive impact on Lehman College over these past three decades is incalculable and I wish her the best in her future endeavors.

To ensure the continued support of Lehman College's mission, I have asked Bridget Barbera, Executive Counsel to the President, to step in as interim Executive in Charge of HR starting in late July. Please join me in recognizing Ms. Morgan's contributions and thanking Bridget for assuming this interim role.

Sincerely,

Fernando Delgado, PhD
President
