We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of
Flourish Therapy + Wellness Center - for Adults!

For many years, we’ve offered therapy services and programs for adults, particularly young adults and parents, under the umbrella of the Institute for Girls’ Development. That said, we’ve long envisioned a welcoming space dedicated to adult growth and resiliency that reflects our values of connection, mind/body wellness, diversity, and cultural humility.

This profound double pandemic season has allowed us to turn both inward and outward to create Flourish Therapy + Wellness Center serving adults of all ages. Flourish is a new division of the Institute – and it's also located in our beautiful space in Old Pasadena.

Check out the Flourish website for information about our programs and services.

The Flourish team integrates known-to-work therapies, contemporary neuroscience, mindfulness, and feminist and social justice forward approaches.

  • We care about bearing witness to the courage and vulnerability of your human journey.
  • We know that limiting stories, trauma, oppression, injustice and discrimination impact mental wellness.
  • We understand the importance of making space for all facets of your identities.
  • We value creating collaborative working relationships that empower you to actively participate in your own journey to flourishing.

Currently our services are offered securely via telehealth. Once we’re able to safely return to our offices for in-person therapy, we’ll continue to provide telehealth services for those who may not be able to attend in-person sessions due to distance, health, time or other constraints and preferences. In fact, we serve clients throughout the state of California. Along with our standard rates for therapy, we provide options for sliding scale and lower fee services.

We’re humbled and excited to be launching Flourish – which we believe is so needed at this deeply challenging time. Read on for more details -and please reach out to us with any questions. Contact us at PHoward@IFGD.care or 626-585-8075 ext. 108.

In other words, we’re here to help you flourish.

We provide support in three ways:

How We Can Help on Your Journey to Flourishing

THERAPY:

While each of our therapists specializes in particular approaches, our collective work is relational, mindfulness-oriented and culturally-responsive. We value collaborating with you, making space for all facets of your identities. Along with traditional evidence-based therapy, our therapists offer a variety of experiential and mind/body approaches. Learn more in our bios.

LEARNING + CONNECTION:

We believe in the power of connection to truly thrive. We facilitate connection in-person and online through our Learning + Connection workshops and support groups. Check out our current offerings!

WELLNESS PROGRAMS:

Holistic wellness is essential to flourishing! In times of stress and struggle, it’s essential to bring compassion and gentleness to our bodies, minds, and spirits.
Turning inward can offer deeper wisdom and our bodies can be a soothing, calming resource for our transformative journeys. Learn about our Mind + Body Connection group.
Flourish Mission + Values

We bring together known-to-work psychotherapeutic approaches with cultural humility to support you on your journey to growth and healing.

We hold space to talk about the hard things while honoring your unique strengths and resilience. Read full Mission + Values Statement.
