Announcing HWCLI's Corporate Social Impact Award

The Health & Welfare Council of Long Island is proud to announce Billy Haugland, Chief Executive Officer of Haugland Group, as the recipient of the Corporate Social Impact Award at our Endless Summer Soirée on the Greens.

Billy Haugland has demonstrated that corporate leadership extends far beyond business success; it is about investing in the well-being of the communities we call home.

Through Haugland Group's partnership with HWCLI, Billy generously supported our Nutrition Security Program at a critical moment when many older adults across Long Island were experiencing unexpected delays in receiving their SNAP benefits during the holiday season.

Recognizing that no senior should have to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table, Haugland Group's generous contribution enabled HWCLI to provide emergency grocery assistance and nutritious food to older adults when they needed it most. Billy's willingness to respond quickly, coupled with his belief that businesses have a responsibility to uplift the communities they serve, exemplifies the very spirit of this award.

Beyond his support of HWCLI, Billy has built a legacy of community leadership rooted in service, collaboration, and opportunity. Under his leadership, Haugland Group has invested in educational partnerships, skilled workforce training, mental health awareness, and initiatives that strengthen communities across Long Island and beyond. His commitment to collaboration, innovation, and philanthropy continues to create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families while inspiring others in the business community to give back.

That commitment to strengthening communities also extends to Haugland Group’s own workforce. Billy has been a strong advocate for recognizing child care as essential infrastructure for working families and a stable economy. Haugland Group has put that belief into action by implementing pre-tax child care support and fully funding the maximum allowable dependent-care benefit for employees, helping address one of the most significant barriers facing working families today. By recognizing that reliable child care is essential to workforce participation and a strong, dependable workforce, Billy has demonstrated that supporting families and building a high-performing organization are not competing priorities, but inseparable ones.

Join us as we celebrate Billy Haugland's unwavering commitment to strengthening our communities and recognize the extraordinary impact that corporate leadership can have on improving the lives of Long Islanders.
