Announcing Lauren Hantz For Regent

Fellow Conservatives,

I’m Lauren Hantz, a proud conservative businesswoman, and I am very excited to let you know that I am running in the 2022 election to serve our great state as a University of Michigan Regent!

Having lived in Michigan for most of my life, and being a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, I recognize that the time is now for more conservatives to become actively engaged in the education of our students.

I was raised in a household that stressed the importance of being responsible financially. Our family business stresses this. As a Regent, I would want to ensure that every one of your tax dollars utilized by Michigan’s largest University is spent appropriately.

It is very important that, as a Regent, I work to make sure that those dollars are spent providing our children with a fair and unbiased education that allows them to form their own educated opinions. I believe that educators should teach students HOW to think rather them telling them WHAT they should think.

In addition, I want to make sure the University prioritizes students who live in and, have grown up, in Michigan.

I want to make sure your sons and daughters have the best opportunity to attend the University of Michigan!

Although I am new to politics, hard work is nothing new to me. In addition to working hard at the University of Michigan academically, I enjoyed being part of several organizations on campus and spent time as a Legal Intern for Federal Judge Sean Cox.

I started my working career as a bank teller, worked my way up throughout the business by:

Running a loan department
Shifting focus to technology to lead the development of software that is now used to benefit over 50,000 clients
Founded the Hantz Foundation, in 2014, where I serve as President
Founded Hantz Motion Pictures; which I run full time as CEO

I look forward to getting to know you over the next several months, as we prepare to select the candidates who will represent our Republican Party on the ballot in November of 2022 for this important office.

As a statewide candidate, I assure you that I will work hard, not only on my race, but for every Republican on the ballot, starting at the top where I will do everything I can to see Michigan has a new Governor starting January 1, 2023.
