We're excited to release Medical Priority Dispatch System TM v13.2 and Police Priority Dispatch System TM v6.1 as part of ProQA ® v5.1.1.30. Many changes and updates you've been asking for are included (a few key ones are highlighted below).

You can request the latest version of ProQA and complete MPDS v13.2 and PPDS v6.1 update guides on the Priority Dispatch ® Software Download site, as well as download Update Presentations for each that will walk you through the changes. Please follow the link to request access.

If your agency already requested the link to the Software Download site on or after April 2nd, you don't need to request access again.

We've also made one important change to Fire Priority Dispatch System TM v7.0 to increase caller safety, detailed below.
PROTOCOL 17: FALLS
New code for "Fall down (not on) stairs." Agencies can now assign a custom response code to a Fall Down Stairs, and a new Axiom has been added to better define Ground Level Falls.
PROTOCOL 23:
OVERDOSE / POISONING (Ingestion)
Now includes a Case Entry fast track and ECHO code for obvious Narcotic/Opioid arrest.
PROTOCOL 25: PSYCHIATRIC / ABNORMAL BEHAVIOR / SUICIDE ATTEMPT
Two new determinant codes deal with critical emergencies found on this protocol.
PROTOCOL 31:
UNCONSCIOUS / FAINTING (Near)
New earlier send point for Unconscious Abnormal Breathing for quicker dispatch without waiting for the Breathing Verification Diagnostic to be completed.
PROTOCOL Q (NARCAN ADMIN SET)
New instructions for Nasal Narcan (Adapt Pharma), now the most common Narcan device in public circulation.
HANDS ON CHEST (HOC)
 CARES REPORT
New version of the HOC Report for additional assistance in improving cardiac arrest outcomes. Now there are two reports to review CPR performance:
  • The current report measuring agency compliance to AHA guidelines;
  • A new report that evaluates cardiac metrics as recommended by the CARES network.
NEW POST-DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS
Instruct caller armed with any type of weapon on how to interact with arriving officers to increase safety for officers and caller.
PROTOCOL 31: TRAFFIC/ TRANSPORTATION INCIDENT (Crash)
New Jurisdictionally Approved Questions (JAQs) give centers more flexibility in determining appropriate responses for assisting agencies (medical, fire).
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION CHANGES
Changes to the global question designed to gather vehicle descriptions of suspects/persons to better address police related scenarios and those involved (e.g. the elderly, or those under the legal age to drive).
PROTOCOL 125: PUBLIC SERVICE
KEEP THE PEACE
Two new Key Question pathways that are JAQs address callers who are on scene vs. those meeting officers at a neutral (off-site) location of the event.
PROTOCOL 69: REPORTED BUILDING / STRUCTURE FIRE
A cha nge has been made to this protocol to increase caller safety. The calltaker now verifies whether the caller is inside the building after the initial ECHO dispatch.
Thanks for being a valued Priority Dispatch customer and partnering with us to continually improve emergency dispatch around the globe.
