We are delighted to announce that Eric Lahart will serve as the Executive Director of the Christian Conference Center.
Eric has served in management in Hy-Vee stores for over 20 years, including his current position as District Store Director of two stores in southern Iowa. In this capacity, he brings a wealth of experience in daily management, staff leadership and coaching, inventory management, and marketing to increase sales revenues with high expectations for customer service.
Eric has a long and deep involvement with the Christian Conference Center and our regional church camps. He was a church camper at the CCC, a member of the Upper Midwest Youth Council (UMwYC), and a two-time summer intern. He has counseled and directed multiple camps, most recently co-directing a Chi Rho camp this summer.
Eric is married to Hettie, who also has deep involvement with the CCC and camp as a former summer intern and camp counselor and nurse. They have four boys: Brenden, Camden, Rolen, and Treyven. They are active in the ministry of First Christian Church, Albia, IA.
In the coming weeks, we will share details of the timeline of our transition from our Interim Co-Directors, Jerry and Linda Wolf, to our new Executive Director. We anticipate that this transition will be completed by mid-March, at the latest. Part of this will be an official appreciation for Jerry and Linda. We also will have ways to officially welcome Eric into this new role.
