With the anticipation of the arrival of new cranes at the Port of Tacoma, many local residents wondered why these were being imported all the way from China. Surely there is a state-side manufacturer that makes the same product? The answer to this question opens the door to a larger conversation about the future of trade.

Since March 2017, the Chamber has managed the World Trade Center Tacoma (WTCTA). This organization assists businesses in introducing their products to the international market and offers services such as business consultation, translation, and trade missions.
