Dear RFC,

In January the Conference encouraged members, partners, and collaborators to fill out a Constituent Survey and give us feedback on a variety of topics related to member benefits and program offerings. In September we held an online listening session that explored constituent needs and what would be most supportive of our members. We are grateful for the invaluable feedback we received.

As a result of your input, the Conference is pleased to announce the addition of two new opportunities in 2025.

Quarterly Online Meet-ups for Formators

Formators are invited to participate in quarterly Zoom meet-ups to connect, network, and collaborate. The hour-long sessions will include prayer, networking, and opportunities to unpack best practices and explore helpful resources. The first session will take place on Wednesday, February 12th from 6:00-7:00pm central via Zoom (mark your calendars, formators!).

Peer / Group Supervision for those in Formation Ministry

Those in formation ministry who are not already connected with a peer supervision group are encouraged to consider this opportunity. Supervision enables participants to enter into their experience as formators with skill and dignity. It also empowers them to trust the wisdom of their inner knowing and experience as formators. The deadline to register for the group beginning next year is Friday, December 6th. Act soon if interested as space is limited.

As we reflected on the feedback we received, it was clear that those in religious life value opportunities to come together for shared prayer, communal discernment, and intercongregational networking and learning. We are pleased to be able to respond to these needs and provide space for our constituents to build community and cultivate the now and new in religious life.

Please share these opportunities with those in your congregation and/or ministry networks who may be interested. We hope they are helpful and that members take advantage of the community, networking, and learning these opportunities will no doubt offer participants.

Know of our continued prayers and best wishes for who you are, and all you're doing, for our church and world. It is a privilege to be on this journey together!

Peace and all good,

Out of chaos, a star is born. If we focus on what is breaking down, we will miss what is breaking through. Hope shines out in darkness,

as the heart stretches toward inexpressible Mystery.
