OPG Joins CBSR to Connect with Other Sustainability Leaders
CBSR is pleased to welcome Ontario Power Generation (OPG) as a new CBSR member. OPG's mission is "Power with Purpose" and providing low-cost power in a safe, clean, reliable, and sustainable manner for the benefit of its customers and shareholders.

The Ontario-based electricity company generates about half of all the power produced in Ontario. As of June 30, 2020, OPG's electricity generation portfolio had an in-service generating capacity of more than 19,754 megawatts, and owned and operated two nuclear generating stations, 66 hydroelectric generating stations, two thermal generating stations, one solar facility, and four combined-cycle natural gas-fired plants in Ontario.

OPG is also undertaking work to establish climate goals that support the Government of Canada’s commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. CBSR is looking forward to working with OPG to take their sustainability efforts even further and continue to seek opportunities to invest in clean and sustainable energy.
